State-of-the-Art Workshop

All furniture reupholstery and restoration is performed right here on Long Island in our 20,000 square foot workshop, by experienced craftsmen dedicated to quality.

Three Generations of Quality

CLS Custom Upholsterers & Furniture Refinishing’s history is one many of us are familiar with, as both the Catalano family and the business have their roots in Brooklyn, followed by a migration east to Long Island during the post-war “Baby Boomer” era. Michael “Pop” Catalano, married and starting a family, began building and upholstering furniture.

Over time, Pop worked for both decorators and furniture stores. In the 1960s, oldest son Sandy, just home from Vietnam, followed his own dream of entrepreneurship, and hitched it to his father’s business at the same time!

Today, with Michael, Raymond, and Patrick the business flourishes dealing directly with clients with complete transparency. They still “do it like they used to” and “all of the work is done on the premises.” The next generation of growth combines the latest technology, performance materials and customer service. Stop in or call today to see for yourself!
