CLS Custom Upholsterers & Furniture Refinishing’s history is one many of us are familiar with, as both the Catalano family and the business have their roots in Brooklyn, followed by a migration east to Long Island during the post-war “Baby Boomer” era.

Michael “Pop” Catalano, married and starting a family, began building and upholstering furniture. Over time, Pop worked for both decorators and furniture stores. In the 1960s, oldest son Sandy, just home from Vietnam, followed his own dream of entrepreneurship, and hitched it to his father’s business at the same time!

CLS has been servicing customers across three generations… we are the leader in furniture reupholstery, slipcovers or custom made furniture in Long Island, Westchester, Manhattan and beyond!
