Brooklyn

Michael “Pop” Catalano endured the perils of World War II and came home to his wife, Marie and their first baby boy, Sandy. Brooklyn was the furniture capital of the Northeast, so it was there that pop’s legacy started with the opening of Lincoln Upholstery Shop.

Manhattan

Manhattan is the place where the Catalano family first put its feet on U.S. soil. In 1913, Simone Catalano arrived at Ellis Island and settled in a tenement dwelling on Elizabeth Street.

Queens

Queens remains the most consistent and growing source of work for CLS, as people have realized that we are happy to travel in order to revive good, quality furniture.

Nassau County, NY

I will never forget the new upholstery shop. It still stands at 101 Main Street in Mineola. It was a 150 year old building and boy, was it a mess!

Suffolk County, NY

The transition to Suffolk County was very easy, as Mike’s two youngest sons Raymond and Leonoard opened up the Catalano Brothers location on Lake Avenue in Saint James after their graduation from Hauppauge H.S. in 1975.
